Importance of HbA1c Testing for Diabetes
Importance of HbA1c Testing for Diabetes

Brief Write-Up of Paper:

Glycosylated Hemoglobin (HbA1c) is a vital tool for measuring glycemic control and assessing pre-diabetic status. Since HbA1c is a subfraction of Hemoglobin A1, it can be affected by the presence of various hemoglobinopathies. Therefore, it is preferable to perform HbA1c testing on an HPLC system, such as the D-10 used at Saral.

This study highlights the advantages of estimating HbA1c using the HPLC method, as it allows for the identification of hemoglobinopathies through the detailed analysis of each patient’s chromatogram by expert doctors.
