PFT
Spirometry is the most common type of pulmonary function test (PFT). It is available at the Delhi and Noida facilities. This test measures how much air one can breathe in and out of your lungs, as well as how easily and fast they can blow the air out of your lungs. It is indicated if one has wheezing, shortness of breath, or a cough. This can help diagnose chronic lung disease, such as COPD, asthma, or pulmonary fibrosis, or can be done to check lung function before a surgery. Spirometry may be done to determine if the disease is improving or worsening and whether the medications or inhalers are working properly.1 Spirometry is generally a safe test. You may feel short of breath or dizzy for a moment after you perform the test.2
