Pre-Void + Post-Void

ULTRASOUND

Pre-Void + Post-Void

Also Known As: Bladder Scan (Prevoid & Postvoid) USG scan for PVR Bladder Residual Volume Scan
Ultrasound prevoid and postvoid residual (PVR) urine assessment is a non-invasive test used to evaluate bladder function. It measures the volume of urine in the bladder before urination (prevoid) and the amount remaining afterward (postvoid). This helps identify incomplete bladder emptying, a common issue in conditions such as benign prostatic hyperplasia, neurogenic bladder, urinary retention, and recurrent urinary tract infections. The test is quick, painless, and does not use radiation. PVR measurements helps in diagnosing underlying urinary problems, guiding treatment decisions, and monitoring response to therapy, ensuring effective management of lower urinary tract symptoms.
