The Toxoplasma IgM test is a blood test that detects IgM antibodies against Toxoplasma gondii, the parasite responsible for toxoplasmosis. It determine recent or acute infection. This test Identifies maternal infection during pregnancy, which can pose a risk of congenital toxoplasmosis. IgM antibodies usually appear within 1–2 weeks of infection, peak early, and may persist for 2–6 months.
