A Coagulation Profile is a group of blood tests that evaluate how well the blood is clotting. It helps assess bleeding tendencies, clotting disorders, liver function, and monitor anticoagulant therapy. The panel typically includes PT-INR, PTTK, Bleeding Time (BT), Clotting Time (CT) and platelet count. This test is done before surgery, detects both bleeding risks and clotting risks, helps diagnose hemophilia, vitamin K deficiency, liver dysfunction, DIC, thrombocytopenia.
