It is a rapid diagnosis of Hbsag and useful for screening, blood donation, and initial diagnosis. This test is widely used for blood donor screening, prenatal screening, and community testing programs.

1. What is Serology?
A serology test is a laboratory blood test that detects and measures antibodies or antigens in the blood to determine whether a person has been exposed to, infected by, or developed immunity to a particular disease.
2. Do I need fasting?
Fasting is not required.
3. How long do reports take?
Mon-Sat, sample before 4pm report same day and sunday report next day.
4. Why this test is important ?
HBsAg (Hepatitis B Surface Antigen) testing detects the presence of the surface protein of the Hepatitis B virus (HBV) in the blood. The HBsAg card test is a rapid, point-of-care test used to screen for active HBV infection.

The Turnaround Time (TAT) depends on the following factors:

  • Registration date and time
  • Type of scan or test
  • Scan time or sample collection time

In uncommon circumstances, TAT may be delayed due to test complexity or reasons beyond our control. You will be informed of the estimated TAT at the time of registration.
