About This Test
The C-ANCA blood test detects autoantibodies directed against cytoplasmic components of neutrophils, most commonly proteinase-3 (PR3). It is primarily used to screen for and support the diagnosis of ANCA-associated vasculitis, especially Granulomatosis with Polyangiitis (GPA, formerly Wegener’s granulomatosis).
