This is only a screening test and will only indicate the presence or absence of Dengue antibodies in the specimen. IgM antibodies to dengue virus can be detected as early as 3-5 days after the onset of fever and persist for 30-90 days.Although detectable levels may be present for eight months post infection.All reactive sample should be confirmed by other method like RT PCR.
