The Sickling Test is a screening test used to detect the presence of sickle hemoglobin (HbS) in blood.
It helps diagnose Sickle Cell Disease and Sickle Cell Trait. It can be used for newborn and premarital screening to identify carriers and individuals with the disease early. It is recommended for those experiencing unexplained pain, fatigue, or jaundice, which can be symptoms of sickle cell complications.
