The APTT (Activated Partial Thromboplastin Time) test measures the time taken for blood to clot via the intrinsic and common coagulation pathways. It is a key test for evaluating bleeding disorders, monitoring heparin therapy, and assessing coagulation before surgery. The test is done to monitor unfractionated Heparin Therapy, screening for Bleeding Disorders, pre-operative Coagulation Screening and more.

This Test does not require fasting.
3. How soon will I get reports?
Mon-Sat, sample before 4pm, reports same day and Sunday reports next day.

5. Are the machines automated?
Yes, fully automated analysers are used.

The Turnaround Time (TAT) depends on the following factors:

  • Registration date and time
  • Type of scan or test
  • Scan time or sample collection time

In uncommon circumstances, TAT may be delayed due to test complexity or reasons beyond our control. You will be informed of the estimated TAT at the time of registration.
