HAEMATOLOGY

Hemogram

Also Known As: HMG Haemogram
Hemogram evaluates the different components of blood to detect disorders. A hemogram gives detailed information Hemoglobin (Hb), Hematocrit (Hct), RBC count, MCV, MCH, MCHC, White Blood Cells, Platelets. Abnormal increases or decreases in cell counts indicates anemia or polycythemia, infections or inflammation, bleeding/clotting risk, chronic conditions.

1. What are hematology tests?
Hematology tests are blood tests that study blood cells and related parameters to assess overall health and detect blood-related disorders.
2. Do I need to report fasting?
This Test does not require fasting.
3. How soon will I get reports?
Mon-Sat, sample before 4pm, reports same day and Sunday reports next day.
4. Why this test is important ?
The hemogam gives a comprehensive overview of your blood’s cellular components.
5. Are the machines automated?
Yes, fully automated analysers are used.

The Turnaround Time (TAT) depends on the following factors:

  • Registration date and time
  • Type of scan or test
  • Scan time or sample collection time

In uncommon circumstances, TAT may be delayed due to test complexity or reasons beyond our control. You will be informed of the estimated TAT at the time of registration.
