Knee Both (AP Varus)
About This Test
This X-ray study includes an AP view taken in a varus stress position. The technician applies a controlled outward force on both knees to open the lateral joint space. This stress view helps evaluate ligament integrity, particularly the medial collateral ligament (LCL). It is useful for diagnosing ligament injuries, instability, chronic knee pain, . Valgus views also help detect subtle fractures . This specialized projection provides dynamic information that standard AP views cannot reveal.
