Description
Cytopathology is used to diagnose various neoplastic and non-neoplastic disorders by examining the cellular details.
The main applications are-
1. Fine needle aspiration cytology(FNAC) of palpable masses
2. Guided FNAC of deep seated masses
3.Exfoliative cytology:GYNAE( Conventional Pap, Liquid based cytology)
: NON-GYNAE(Body fluids,sputum,nasal discharge,BAL)
To provide precision in diagnosis,SARAL uses cutting edge technology like cytocentrifuge, liquid based cytology and cell block)
All procedures are conducted by pathologists and processing is done by senior technologists.
All tests are under the scope of NABL Accreditation and quality is assured by participating in EQAS from PGI Chandigarh.
TAT Policy
The Turnaround Time (TAT) for a test depends on the following factors:
- Registration date and time
- Type of scan or test
- Scan time or sample collection time
Please note that in uncommon circumstances, TAT may be delayed due to the complexity of the test or reasons beyond our control. You will be informed about the estimated TAT at the time of registration or after completion of the test.
