The Orbit & Brain CT scan is a detailed imaging study designed to evaluate the eyes, surrounding orbital structures, and the brain in a single examination. This scan provides high-resolution images to assess conditions affecting the orbits, optic nerves, extraocular muscles, lacrimal glands, bony orbital walls, as well as intracranial structures including the brain parenchyma, ventricles, and major blood vessels. It is commonly used in cases of trauma, fractures, tumors, infections, swelling, proptosis, visual disturbances, headaches, or neurological symptoms. Scanning both regions together allows clinicians to detect abnormalities that may involve both the orbit and intracranial structures, such as orbital tumors extending into the brain or vascular lesions. “Scan Charges Only” indicates that the cost includes only the CT imaging procedure, excluding contrast or additional consumables. This comprehensive study aids in accurate diagnosis, guides treatment planning, and supports timely medical or surgical intervention for complex orbital and brain conditions.

Some scans need contrast dye for clearer images. Your doctor will advise based on your
condition.

Ans- Most scans take 5–10 minutes.
5. Is CT safe?
