Also Known As:

Venography (Scan charges only)

Venography (Scan Charges Only) is a specialized CT imaging study used to evaluate the venous system and assess blood flow within the veins. It is commonly performed to detect deep vein thrombosis (DVT), venous obstruction, varicose veins, congenital venous anomalies, or post-surgical complications. Using contrast-enhanced CT technology, the scan provides detailed images of both superficial and deep veins, helping identify clots, narrowing, blockages, or structural abnormalities. The term “Scan Charges Only” means that the cost includes only the scanning procedure and excludes contrast material or additional consumables. Venography is often recommended when patients present with symptoms such as leg swelling, pain, discoloration, or suspected venous insufficiency. Its high accuracy and rapid imaging make it a valuable tool in emergency and routine clinical settings. The scan helps clinicians determine the severity of venous disease and plan appropriate treatment, such as anticoagulation therapy, catheter-based intervention, or surgical management.
