The Stool Routine Examination is a comprehensive microscopic and macroscopic evaluation of a stool sample. It helps detect infections, inflammation, malabsorption, bleeding, parasites, and digestive disorders. Stool routine test includes physical examination (Colour, Consistency, Mucus, Blood) and microscopic Examination (ova, cysts, parasites, pus cells, RBC, vegetable cells). Stool routine is primary test for giardia, entamoeba histolytica, hookworm, roundworm, whipworm, tapeworm. Presence of Pus cells and RBCs helps to diagnose bacterial and viral Enteritis and also helps to diagnose inflammatory bowel disease.

5. Can these tests be done at home?
Yes, sample collection for urine and stool can be arranged at home.
