Rheumatoid Factor (RA Factor) (Immunoturbidimetric)
₹600
About This Test
The Rheumatoid Factor (RF) test measures the amount of rheumatoid factor antibodies present in the blood. This test is useful for diagnosis and prognosis of rheumatoid arthritis.
The titer of RF correlates poorly with disease activity, but those patients with high titers tend to have more severe disease than do sero-negative patients.
When RF is elevated, it may indicate autoimmune or inflammatory disorders, most commonly Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA). The Immunoturbidimetric method is a quantitative laboratory technique that measures the turbidity (cloudiness) formed when RF in the serum reacts with specific antigens, allowing accurate measurement of RF concentration.

Frequently Asked Questions
1. What tests are done in Clinical Biochemistry?
These tests measure things like blood sugar, liver function, kidney function, cholesterol and
electrolytes.
electrolytes.
2. Do I need to report fasting?before these tests?
No, Fasting is not required.
3. How soon will I get my reports?
Mon-Sat, sample before 4pm, report same day and sunday reports, next day.
4. Are biochemistry tests reliable?
Yes. We use fully automated machines that ensure accurate and consistent results.
5. Can these tests detect early health problems?
Yes. RA Factor (Rheumatoid Factor) testing can detect early health problems, particularly early autoimmune and inflammatory disorders.
TAT Policy
The Turnaround Time (TAT) depends on the following factors:
- Registration date and time
- Type of scan or test
- Scan time or sample collection time
In uncommon circumstances, TAT may be delayed due to test complexity or reasons beyond our control. You will be informed of the estimated TAT at the time of registration.
