he Parathyroid Hormone (PTH) test measures the level of intact parathyroid hormone (iPTH) in the blood. PTH is a hormone secreted by the parathyroid glands (four small glands located behind the thyroid gland). It plays a key role in regulating calcium, phosphorus, and vitamin D levels in the body. Hyperparathyroidism is most commonly primary and caused by parathyroid adenomas. It can also be secondary in response to hypocalcemia or hyperphosphatemia. This is most commonly observed in renal osteodystrophy. Hyperparathyroidism causes hypercalcemia, hypophosphatemia, hypercalcuria and hyperphosphaturia. Hypoparathyroidism is most commonly secondary to thyroid surg

1. What tests are done in Clinical Biochemistry?
These tests measure things like blood sugar, liver function, kidney function, cholesterol and
electrolytes.
2. Do I need to report fasting?before these tests?
Yes, Fasting is required.
3. How soon will I get my reports?
Mon-Sat, sample before 4pm, report same day and sunday reports, next day.
4. Are biochemistry tests reliable?
Yes. We use fully automated machines that ensure accurate and consistent results.
5. Can these tests detect early health problems?
Yes. PTH (Parathyroid Hormone) testing can detect early health problems, particularly early calcium, bone, and parathyroid disorders.

The Turnaround Time (TAT) depends on the following factors:

  • Registration date and time
  • Type of scan or test
