Obstetric GTT - ( F, 30 mins, 60 mins, 90 mins , 120 mins) With 75 Gms Glucose

Also Known As: OGTT
The Obstetric Glucose Tolerance Test (75 g OGTT) is a diagnostic test used in pregnant women to identify Gestational Diabetes Mellitus (GDM). It involves measuring blood glucose at multiple time points after drinking 75 grams of glucose. Patient undergoes overnight fasting (8–14 hours) then Fasting blood glucose is collected. After that patient drinks 75 g oral glucose solution and then 4 blood samples are collected at an interval of 30 minutes. This test helps diagnose gestational diabetes, which is associated with: 1. Fetal macrosomia 2. Preeclampsia 3. Preterm delivery 4. Birth complications 5. Future maternal diabetes risk

1. What tests are done in Clinical Biochemistry?
These tests measure things like blood sugar, liver function, kidney function, cholesterol, electrolytes.
2. Do I need to report fasting?before these tests?
Yes, Fasting is required.
3. How soon will I get my reports?
Mon-Sat, sample before 4pm, report same day and sunday reports, next day.
4. Are biochemistry tests reliable?
Yes. We use fully automated machines that ensure accurate and consistent results.
5. Can these tests detect early health problems?
Yes. OGTT (Oral Glucose Tolerance Test) can detect early health problems, particularly early glucose intolerance and diabetes risk

The Turnaround Time (TAT) depends on the following factors:

  • Registration date and time
  • Type of scan or test
  • Scan time or sample collection time

In uncommon circumstances, TAT may be delayed due to test complexity or reasons beyond our control. You will be informed of the estimated TAT at the time of registration.
