The Glucose Pre-Lunch test measures the blood sugar level just before the lunch meal. It reflects the pre-meal (pre-prandial) blood glucose status and is commonly used for routine monitoring in people with diabetes. This test helps to monitor glycemic control in diabetics, adjust anti-diabetic medication or insulin dose, detect hypoglycemia (low blood sugar) before the lunch meal.
