The DIPSI Test (Diabetes in Pregnancy Study Group India) is a single-step screening and diagnostic test for Gestational Diabetes Mellitus (GDM). This test is a single-step method to detect gestational diabetes. In this test, pregnant woman is given 75 g of glucose drink and a sample is taken after 2 hour.Avoids the need for fasting or multi-sample OGTT. Detecting Gestational Diabetes Mellitus (GDM) early, reduces the risk of Fetal macrosomia, Preeclampsia, Neonatal hypoglycemia, Delivery complications, Risk of mother developing Type 2 Diabetes later.
