CLINICAL BIOCHEMISTRY

Creatinine Clearence Rate (with Known S. Creatinine )

Also Known As: CCR
Creatinine Clearance (CCR) is a test that measures how efficiently the kidneys filter creatinine out of the blood and into the urine. It is one of the most direct assessments of glomerular filtration rate (GFR). This test includes S. creatinine and Urine Creatinine collected over 24 hours. A decrease in GFR implies either progressive renal disease, or a reversible process causing decreased renal perfusion (eg, severe dehydration, heart failure).

1. What tests are done in Clinical Biochemistry?
These tests measure things like blood sugar, liver function, kidney function, cholesterol, electrolytes.
2. Do I need to report fasting?before these tests?
Fasting is not required.
3. How soon will I get my reports?
Mon-Sat, sample before 4pm, report same day and sunday reports, next day.
4. Are biochemistry tests reliable?
Yes. We use fully automated machines that ensure accurate and consistent results.
5. Can these tests detect early health problems?
Yes, Creatinine Clearance Rate (CCR) is a very useful test for detecting kidney health problems.

The Turnaround Time (TAT) depends on the following factors:

  • Registration date and time
  • Type of scan or test
  • Scan time or sample collection time

In uncommon circumstances, TAT may be delayed due to test complexity or reasons beyond our control. You will be informed of the estimated TAT at the time of registration.
