Obstetric + NT & NB With Colour Doppler

Also Known As: First Trimester NT + NB Ultrasound Nuchal thcikness scan Early Morphology scan Chromosomal scan Level 1 SCAN

About This Test

Nuchal translucency (NT) and nasal bone (NB) ultrasound is a first-trimester screening tool used to assess the risk of chromosomal abnormalities, such as Down syndrome. Performed between 11 and 14 weeks of gestation, NT measures the fluid-filled space at the back of the fetal neck, while NB evaluation checks for the presence of the nasal bone. Combined with maternal age and serum markers, this ultrasound provides a non-invasive risk assessment, enabling early counseling, further diagnostic testing, and informed pregnancy management.
