About This Test
Obstetric Level 2 3D/4D ultrasound is an advanced imaging technique that provides detailed three-dimensional visualization of the fetus, with 4D adding real-time motion. Typically performed between 18 and 22 weeks, it enhances assessment of fetal anatomy, including the face, limbs, and spine, and aids in detecting congenital anomalies. 3D/4D imaging complements standard Level 2 scans by offering better spatial understanding and parental visualization, while remaining safe and non-invasive, supporting diagnosis, counseling, and pregnancy management.
