The Nipple Discharge C/S test is a microbiological examination performed on fluid coming from the right nipple to detect bacterial or fungal infection and to determine the most effective antibiotics for treatment. This test helps differentiate infectious causes from other causes like hormonal imbalance or benign/borderline breast disease. This test is recommended if patient has a symptoms like nipple discharge (pus-like, bloody, serous, or milky) not related to pregnancy or breastfeeding , redness, swelling, or pain in the breast. The test helps confirm bacterial or fungal infection of the nipple/ducts, guide targeted antibiotic therapy.
