About This Test
The assay is a tool in the differential diagnosis of systematic rheumatic disease like SLE, mixed connective tissue diseases, scleroderma, Sjogrens syndrome, polymyositis and dermatomyositis.The incidence of low titre ANA positivity increases with age in normal individuals. many drugs like Hydralazine and Procainamide may induce ANA production.
