Tumor Mutation Burden (TMB) is a numeric index that expresses the number of mutations per megabase harbored by tumor cells in a neoplasm. High TMB indicates a potential response to immunotherapy. Microsatellite Instability (MSI) are regions of repeated DNA that change in length & show instability when mismatch repair is not working properly. A positive MSI means that the tumor is very unstable. This panel helps in risk stratification and guiding use of immunotherapy for various cancers.
