About This Test
This assay is useful for screening of Monoclonal gammopathies in the general population. These gammopathies may be seen in a wide spectrum of diseases like Multiple myeloma (MM), Macroglobulinemia, Plasmacytoma, B cell lymphomas, disorders of monoclonal protein structure and certain pre-malignant conditions like MGUS. It can also help in assessing risk of progression of MGUS to MM.
