About This Test
Leptospirosis is a zoonotic disease of worldwide prevalence. Leptospira are present in the blood at the onset of disease and persist upto 1 week. IgM antibody is detectable within 1-2 weeks after the onset of the illness and peaks at 2-4 weeks. IgG antibody rises later in the course of the disease.
