About This Test
This test provides presumptive identification of KPC-producing E. coli, Klebsiella, Enterobacter, Serratia and Citrobacter group (KESC), direct from clinical samples or well isolated colonies. Presence of KPC implies resistance to Carbapenem antibiotics. This test is useful for epidemiological and hospital infection control purposes.
