Aldolase is useful in the diagnosis and monitoring of many skeletal muscle disorders . Highest levels of Aldolase are found in Progressive (Duchenne) Muscular Dystrophy. Lesser elevations are found in Dermatomyositis, Polymyositis and Limb-girdle dystrophy.
