About This Test
Centromere antibodies occur primarily in patients with CREST syndrome but may also be seen in some patients with Primary biliary cirrhosis, Rheumatoid arthritis and LE. This assay is used as an aid in the diagnosis of CREST syndrome and for evaluating patients with clinical presentation compatible with Systemic sclerosis.
