MRI Lumbo-sacral Spine is a scan of the lower back that help doctors see vertebrae, nerves, discs and tissues. It is useful for diagnosing pain, nerve problems, infection, or tumors in the lower spine. MRI can show:-Spinal cord and nerves, Discs between the bones, Bones of the lower spine, Spinal canal, Soft tissues, muscles, and ligaments, Areas of inflammation or infection, Tumors or abnormal growths. contrast dye helps make infections, tumors, post-surgery changes, and inflammation easier to detect.

Preparation / Prerequisite

Fasting is not mandatory except for  un-coperative patients where sedation may be needed ( 4-6 hours fasting) Prior appointment desirable. Non MR compatible Pacemaker .For contrast administration (CEMR) renal status to be assesed. Please bring latest reports of blood urea and creatinine (if available). Please bring along the prescription , all previous records & investigation reports (including images & soft copies, if any
