MRI

Dorso-Lumbar Spine

About This Test

This part of the spine is crucial because it supports the upper body, allows movement, and protects the spinal cord. The dorso-lumbar spine includes the lower part of the thoracic spine (mid-back) and the lumbar spine (lower back). Doctors use it to check for issues like herniated discs, spinal stenosis (narrowing of the spinal canal), fractures, infections, or tumors. This type of MRI can also show problems that cause pain, numbness, or weakness in the back, hips, or legs.
