It is performed to detect the presence of Trichomonas vaginalis, a sexually transmitted parasite. This test is commonly used in male patients, where urine tests may not always detect the organism. The symptoms includes in men are Urethritis,painful and burning urination, Mild discharge from urethra while in women vaginal discharge, painful urinartion, itching.
