Wrist (Lt) AP & Lat X-ray is a simple, fast imaging test that provides detailed pictures of the bones and joint spaces of the wrist.
Clinical Utility of a Wrist X-ray
1. Detecting Fractures and Bone Injuries (most common)Carpal bone fractures especially scaphoid fractures
2. Assessing Joint Alignment and Instability Dislocations or subluxations (e.g., lunate or perilunate dislocations)
3. Diagnosing Degenerative or Chronic Conditions Osteoarthritis (carpal bones, radiocarpal, CMC joints)
