DIGITAL X RAY
Knee (Right) Intercondylar Notch (Rosenberg View)
Also Known As:
Knee (Right) Intercondylar Notch (Rosenberg View)
About This Test
The Rosenberg view is a special weight-bearing X-ray taken with the knees flexed at about 45 degrees. It provides a clear visualization of the intercondylar notch, tibial plateau, and joint spaces, offering better detection of early osteoarthritis compared to standard AP views. This projection is particularly useful for subtle joint space narrowing, and early degenerative changes . The weight-bearing nature of the test reveals true joint loading changes and mechanical alignment issues. This view is commonly used in orthopedic planning for surgeries .
