A Vault Smear is a gynecological cytology test in which a sample is collected from the vaginal vault—the uppermost part of the vagina, located around the cervix. It helps detect infections, inflammatory changes, hormonal status, and any suspicious or precancerous/malignant cells in the vaginal vault.
