A Nipple Discharge Examination is a laboratory test performed on fluid that leaks from the breast nipple. In this test sample is collected and smears prepared on the slide. The test includes the cytology and the malignancy. The sample is examined under microscope to determine the cause of discharge—whether it is due to infection, inflammation, hormonal issues or carcinoma.
