CYTOPATHOLOGY
Histopath cell block for review
About This Test
A Cell Block is a laboratory technique in which fluids or fine-needle aspiration (FNA) samples are processed and converted into a tissue-like paraffin block.
This block is then sectioned and examined like a histopathology biopsy. When the report says “Cell Block for Review”, it means the cell block prepared earlier (from fluid or FNA) is being reviewed/re-examined by a pathologist—usually for a second opinion, confirmation, or further evaluation.
