Also Known As:
ct enterography of abdomen
enteroclysis
colonography
About This Test
This contrast-enhanced CT scan evaluates the small intestine using enterography or enteroclysis techniques, providing detailed images of the bowel wall, lumen, and surrounding structures. Contrast improves detection of inflammation, strictures, tumors, or vascular abnormalities. The procedure includes consumables like catheters and contrast media. It is indicated for patients with Crohn’s disease, obstruction, unexplained abdominal pain, or pre-surgical planning. High-resolution imaging allows precise diagnosis, treatment planning, and monitoring of bowel pathology. The procedure is minimally invasive, fast, and safe, offering comprehensive evaluation of the small bowel and mesenteric vessels for effective clinical management.
