About This Test
Abdomen Lower/Pelvis Contrast CT offers detailed contrast-enhanced imaging of pelvic organs, urinary structures, bowel loops, lymph nodes, reproductive organs, soft tissues, and surrounding vasculature to diagnose conditions such as infections, inflammation, appendicitis, urinary obstruction, tumors, kidney stones, trauma, pelvic inflammatory disease, and cancer staging; intravenous contrast highlights abnormal areas, improves lesion detection, clarifies tissue differences, and identifies vascular abnormalities or post-surgical complications; the scan provides rapid, cross-sectional information essential for emergency management, routine evaluations, oncological follow-up, and pre-operative planning, enabling clinicians to make accurate and timely treatment decisions.
