Angiography Peripheral - Upper / Lower limbs Contrast
Also Known As:
ct angio hands
ct angio upper limbs
ct angio legs
ct angio lower limbs
About This Test
This contrast-enhanced peripheral angiography provides detailed visualization of upper and lower limb arteries. The scan highlights small and large vessels, allowing detection of blockages, stenosis, aneurysms, or other vascular abnormalities. It is particularly useful for patients with peripheral vascular disease, diabetes, leg pain, non-healing ulcers, or trauma-related vascular injuries. Contrast enhances the visibility of arteries and veins, improving diagnostic accuracy and assisting in planning interventions such as angioplasty, stent placement, or bypass surgery. High-resolution imaging supports pre- and post-operative assessment, allowing precise evaluation of blood flow, vessel structure, and abnormalities. The procedure is fast, non-invasive, and critical for effective vascular disease management

condition.
Ans- Most scans take 5–10 minutes.
Ans-Yes. CT scan is a safe imaging test. However, it exposes you to a small dose of radiation. For most people, such a small potential risk far outweighs the benefits, in terms of saving your life. The radiation dose is controlled and kept within safe limits.
