CT
Angiography Chest ( Thorax) with Contrast
Also Known As:
ct angio chest
ct angio thorax
ct thoracic angio
About This Test
This CT angiography evaluates the thoracic region, including major arteries of the chest, with intravenous contrast dye to enhance vessel visibility. The scan focuses on the thoracic aorta, pulmonary arteries, coronary arteries, and vessels surrounding the lungs and heart. Contrast allows precise visualization of vascular anatomy, enabling detection of aneurysms, dissections, stenosis, embolism, or vascular malformations. It is recommended for patients with chest pain, shortness of breath, pulmonary embolism suspicion, or prior cardiovascular conditions. This non-invasive procedure provides detailed 3D images for accurate diagnosis and aids in planning surgeries, stent placements, or interventions. The high-resolution imaging ensures physicians can assess vessel integrity, blood flow, and potential complications, supporting early treatment and effective patient management.

condition.
Ans- Most scans take 5–10 minutes.
Ans-Yes. CT scan is a safe imaging test. However, it exposes you to a small dose of radiation. For most people, such a small potential risk far outweighs the benefits, in terms of saving your life. The radiation dose is controlled and kept within safe limits.

- Registration date and time
- Type of scan or test
