CT
Angiography Abdomen With Both Lower Limb (Scan Charges Only)
Also Known As:
ct angiography abdomen
ct angiography lower limb
About This Test
This test is a detailed CT angiography scan focusing on the blood vessels of the abdomen as well as both lower limbs, performed without contrast charges included. It captures high-resolution images that help evaluate the arteries supplying the abdominal organs, pelvis, thighs, and legs. Doctors commonly use this scan to screen for blockages, narrowing, aneurysms, or structural abnormalities in major vessels. It is especially useful for patients with symptoms of peripheral artery disease (PAD), chronic leg pain, diabetes-related circulation issues, or suspected vascular complications. Since this option includes only scan charges, patients may need to pay separately for the contrast dye if later required. The test helps surgeons plan vascular surgeries, stent placements, or bypass procedures. It also assists in post-operative follow-ups to assess graft patency or stent position. The scan is non-invasive, fast, and provides detailed vessel mapping.

Ans-Yes. CT scan is a safe imaging test. However, it exposes you to a small dose of radiation. For most people, such a small potential risk far outweighs the benefits, in terms of saving your life. The radiation dose is controlled and kept within safe limits.
