Upper Abdomen With Pancreatic Protocol (Scan Charges Only)

Also Known As: ct abdomen for pancreatic protocol

About This Test

The Upper Abdomen CT scan with Pancreatic Protocol is a specialized imaging study designed to provide detailed evaluation of the pancreas and surrounding abdominal organs, including the liver, gallbladder, biliary tract, spleen, and adrenal glands. This protocol uses optimized scanning phases and high-resolution imaging to accurately visualize pancreatic parenchyma, ducts, and vascular structures. It is commonly used to assess pancreatic masses, cysts, inflammation (pancreatitis), tumors, vascular involvement, and post-surgical changes. The pancreatic protocol enhances detection of subtle lesions and helps differentiate benign from malignant conditions. “Scan Charges Only” indicates that the fees cover only the scanning procedure, excluding contrast material or additional consumables. This study is particularly valuable for planning surgical or interventional procedures, staging pancreatic cancer, and monitoring treatment response. By providing precise anatomical detail and improved lesion characterization, this CT scan aids clinicians in timely diagnosis and effective management of pancreatic and upper abdominal disorders.
