About This Test
The Thorax CT scan with Cardiac Gating is a specialized imaging study that evaluates the structures of the chest, including the lungs, heart, major blood vessels, and mediastinum, while minimizing motion artifacts caused by the beating heart. Cardiac gating synchronizes the scan with the patient’s cardiac cycle, providing clearer and more accurate images of the heart and coronary vessels. This scan is particularly useful for detecting coronary artery disease, cardiac anomalies, aortic pathology, pulmonary conditions, and mediastinal masses. It also aids in pre-operative assessment and monitoring of known cardiac or thoracic conditions. “Scan Charges Only” indicates that the cost applies solely to the scanning procedure and does not include contrast materials or additional consumables. By producing high-resolution images with precise anatomical detail, this study assists clinicians in making timely and accurate diagnoses, guiding appropriate medical or surgical management for patients with cardiac or thoracic concerns.

Ans- Most scans take 5–10 minutes.
Ans-Yes. CT scan is a safe imaging test. However, it exposes you to a small dose of radiation. For most people, such a small potential risk far outweighs the benefits, in terms of saving your life. The radiation dose is controlled and kept within safe limits.

- Registration date and time
- Type of scan or test
- Scan time or sample collection time
In uncommon circumstances, TAT may be delayed due to test complexity or reasons beyond our control. You will be informed of the estimated TAT at the time of registration.
