CT
Sinogram / Fistulogram / Nephrostogram bilateral With Contrast
Also Known As:
ct Sinogram / Fistulogram / Nephrostogram bilateral
About This Test
A Sinogram / Fistulogram / Nephrostogram Bilateral scan with contrast is a specialized imaging procedure used to evaluate abnormal tracts, fistulas, or nephrostomy drainage pathways on both sides. During the procedure, contrast is gently injected through the opening or catheter to outline the internal path, allowing radiologists to visualize the direction, length, connections, and any obstruction or leakage within the tract. This study is essential for assessing post-surgical complications, chronic infections, abscess drainage pathways, skin-to-organ fistulas, or nephrostomy tube function. Bilateral imaging ensures that both sides are clearly examined, which is crucial for patients with complex or multiple tracts. The contrast-enhanced views help detect strictures, blockages, extravasation, or abnormal communications with surrounding organs. This test plays an important role in planning treatment, surgical repair, catheter revision, or drainage management. It is a safe and accurate method for evaluating fistulous and nephrostomy-related abnormalities.

condition.
Ans- Most scans take 5–10 minutes.
Ans-Yes. CT scan is a safe imaging test. However, it exposes you to a small dose of radiation. For most people, such a small potential risk far outweighs the benefits, in terms of saving your life. The radiation dose is controlled and kept within safe limits.
TAT Policy
The Turnaround Time (TAT) depends on the following factors:
- Registration date and time
- Type of scan or test
- Scan time or sample collection time
In uncommon circumstances, TAT may be delayed due to test complexity or reasons beyond our control. You will be informed of the estimated TAT at the time of registration.
