CT
PNS Axial , Coronal & Saggital with contrast
Also Known As:
ct PNS (paranasal sinuses) (Scan charges only)
About This Test
The Paranasal Sinuses (PNS) CT scan in Axial, Coronal, and Sagittal planes with contrast is a detailed imaging study used to evaluate the sinuses, nasal cavity, and surrounding bony and soft tissue structures. The multi-planar approach provides comprehensive visualization, helping detect sinusitis, polyps, tumors, cysts, anatomical variations, fractures, or inflammatory changes. Contrast enhancement improves the differentiation between normal tissues and pathological lesions, highlighting areas of infection, vascularity, or neoplastic involvement. High-resolution imaging in all three planes ensures accurate assessment of the ethmoid, maxillary, frontal, and sphenoid sinuses, as well as the osteomeatal complex, nasal septum, and orbital margins. This study is particularly useful for pre-surgical planning, evaluation of chronic or recurrent sinus disease, trauma assessment, and detection of masses. By providing precise anatomical detail, the PNS CT with contrast aids clinicians in accurate diagnosis, effective treatment planning, and monitoring of therapeutic response for sinus and nasal disorders

condition.
Ans- Most scans take 5–10 minutes.
Ans-Yes. CT scan is a safe imaging test. However, it exposes you to a small dose of radiation. For most people, such a small potential risk far outweighs the benefits, in terms of saving your life. The radiation dose is controlled and kept within safe limits.
TAT Policy
The Turnaround Time (TAT) depends on the following factors:
- Registration date and time
- Type of scan or test
- Scan time or sample collection time
In uncommon circumstances, TAT may be delayed due to test complexity or reasons beyond our control. You will be informed of the estimated TAT at the time of registration.
