About This Test
Low Dose CT (LDCT) of the chest is a specialized imaging study designed to evaluate the lungs, airways, mediastinum, and chest wall while minimizing radiation exposure. This scan uses advanced CT technology with reduced dose protocols, making it particularly suitable for lung cancer screening, follow-up of pulmonary nodules, chronic lung disease assessment, and evaluation of high-risk individuals. Despite the lower radiation, the scan provides high-resolution images that allow detection of lung nodules, infections, fibrosis, emphysema, or other structural abnormalities. “Scan Charges Only” indicates that the cost applies exclusively to the scanning procedure, excluding contrast material or additional consumables. LDCT chest is fast, non-invasive, and safe, offering early detection of pulmonary conditions, which is crucial for timely intervention. It is especially valuable in preventive healthcare programs, enabling clinicians to monitor lung health, detect diseases at an early stage, and guide appropriate medical management without unnecessary radiation risk.

condition.
Ans- Most scans take 5–10 minutes.
Ans-Yes. CT scan is a safe imaging test. However, it exposes you to a small dose of radiation. For most people, such a small potential risk far outweighs the benefits, in terms of saving your life. The radiation dose is controlled and kept within safe limits.
TAT Policy
The Turnaround Time (TAT) depends on the following factors:
- Registration date and time
- Type of scan or test
- Scan time or sample collection time
In uncommon circumstances, TAT may be delayed due to test complexity or reasons beyond our control. You will be informed of the estimated TAT at the time of registration.
